Résumé
Que cache la multiplication des expériences locales d'indicateurs alternatifs ? Loin d'être un phénomène de mode ou un hasard, ces pratiques alternatives de quantification menées par les territoires infranationaux, en France et à l'étranger, sont au coeur de cet article. Analysées en lien avec notre implication personnelle dans le projet grenoblois Ibest, ces expériences révèlent des points communs et des différences entre ces démarches locales dont l'émergence répond in fine à une demande sociale : leur profusion n'est pas sans raison et s'avère utile pour la connaissance et pour l'action.
Abstract
We can ask ourselves what is the reason of proliferation of local experiences of alternative indicators and we will see it is neither a passing phenomenon nor a coincidence. It is merely the reason these practical alternatives of quantification conducted by subnational territories in France and abroad, are at the heart of this article. Analyzed in the light of our involvement in the Grenoble project Ibest we can see that these projects have common characteristics and differences. All of them respond to social demands and participate to the improvement of knowledge and field action.
