Welcome to the website of the French “Association d'économie sociale”, an association founded in 1979 with the aim of “promoting research in the field of the social economics and developing relations between researchers in the social sciences, by disseminating the results of their work” (article 2 of the Association's bylaws).

Each year, the Association awards a prize for the work of young researchers in the field of social economics. The prize is named “Prix Jacques Tymen” in tribute to the man who was President of the Association in 1985-1986, and who died suddenly in 1987. The list of award recipients can be found in the “J. Tymen” section.

Since 2016, Michèle Fardeau 's family has entrusted the Association with the task of awarding the “Michèle Fardeau Prize” for the young teacher-researcher, a prize distinguishing in particular “involvement in his or her teaching activity”. The list of recipients can be found in the “M. Fardeau” section.

The Association organizes conferences almost every year. In the “Conferences” section, you'll find a summary of all these events, from the first one organized in 1979 at Gif-sur-Ivette by the Centre d'étude et de recherche sur l'épargne, les patrimoines et les inégalites (Cérépi, Université Paris-X Nanterre and CNRS, Éra 86).

In the “Proceedings” section, you will find a search engine that will enable you to easily find a contribution published in the proceedings of the “Association d'économie sociale” since 1997.

Information on the next Journées of the “Association d'économie sociale” can be found in the “AÉS 2025” section.
